Whether you're already supporting parents or looking to begin a meaningful new path, you’ll graduate with the clarity, confidence, and tools you need to teach HypnoBirthing® effectively.

You will need to submit a short review for each training segment:

– Code of Ethics
– Birth Basics*Submit a book review
Choose one of the following texts for your 500-word report:
• The Biology of Belief – Bruce H. Lipton, PhD
• The Art of Hypnosis – C. Roy Hunter, MS, CHtPractice with a case study couple
This hands-on practice helps you integrate and apply what you’ve learned.
How the Training Works
Once complete, you’ll officially receive your HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator (HBCE) certification.
Who Is This Training For?
This program welcomes participants from a wide range of backgrounds, including:
• Doulas, midwives, nurses, physicians
• Women’s health physiotherapists
• Hypnotherapists, counsellors, yoga teachers, massage therapists
• Perinatal professionals
• Anyone passionate about supporting calm, confident birthing
If you don’t have previous birth-related training, you’ll complete the Birth Basics Home Study prior to attending.

Refund Policy
Refund requests must be submitted in writing at least 2 weeks before the start of the training.
A $250 administration fee plus the cost of any shipped materials will be deducted.
No refunds can be issued after this period.
Birth Basics (if required)
For those without formal childbirth training (doula, midwife, L&D nurse, physician), the Birth Basics Home Study offers foundational knowledge that will support your success in the educator program.

About Your Instructor: Mercedes Ruiz
Mercedes Ruiz is a Master Trainer and Faculty Member with the HypnoBirthing® Institute, known for her warm teaching style and deep commitment to empowered, respectful birth.
With a background in psychology, Gestalt therapy, and perinatal mental health, Mercedes is also certified as a counsellor, hypnotherapist, birth and postpartum doula, and DBL Baby Language Educator. Since 2014, she has supported families across the globe.
Raised in Mexico, born in the U.S., and now based in Dartmouth, Mercedes teaches in both English and Spanish and brings a multicultural, trauma-sensitive perspective to the birth world. Her passion began with her own HypnoBirthing® experience and ultimately led her to train directly with Marie Mongan.
